Description
To mark its 250th anniversary, Lanson opted to innovate while remaining true to its tradition and know-how by releasing a special cuvée to commemorate this milestone. Extra Age is a multi-vintage blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir selected only from Grands Cru and Premier Cru vineyards. To maintain a style that has combined both complexity and freshness since 1760, Extra Age marries the outstanding characters of several great vintages: 1999, 2002 and 2003.
Extra Age pays homage to the rich history of the House while setting a bold statement for the future direction of Champagne Lanson.
Tasting Notes
The aromatic palette of this exceptional champagne will delight you with its intensity and complexity. On the palate, Extra Age has a strong backbone and can therefore be served with rich flavourful dishes: scallops and truffles, spicy Lobster Gratin and Roast Partridge or Pheasant.

Description
In 2009, to celebrate its 250th anniversary, The House of Lanson launched its new cuvée Lanson Extra Age. In the traditional House style of the 19th and early 20th century, Lanson Extra Age avoids malolactic fermentation, enabling the fresh, fruity aromas to develop gracefully, giving it an outstanding aging capability.
To complete the Extra Age range, and build upon the expertise of the House in champagne rosé, Lanson launched their Extra Age Rosé cuvée in June 2011. Combining the outstanding characteristics of vintages from 2002, 2004 and 2005, Extra Age Rosé marries complexity and freshness to create a truly exceptional champagne.
Tasting Notes
Combining the signature freshness and fruitiness, the taste on the palate reveals deliciously sour notes of wild strawberry, redcurrants and red-fleshed peaches. The Lanson Extra Age Rosé would make an ideal accompaniment for lamb and deserts made with fresh red fruits.
