Today, the 1981 possesses the great qualities it hinted at from its origins. To make the 1982 vintage, Lanson blended 40% Chardonnay from Avize and Oger and 60% Pinot Noir from Bouzy, Ambonnay and Aÿ. After 20 years of ageing, the 1982 has a light froth and a persistent stream of bubbles. It releases aromas of bread and toasted hazelnuts. On the palate it is a perfect extension of the nose. This blend captivates us with its perfect balance and superb finesse.
